One Year Mark!!!

( D&C 24:8) "when we have patience in our afflictions...the lord is always with us, even unto the end of our days"....but the best part is that we dont have a end of our days thanks to the attonment of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My week has been okay, i bought a new suit that is soooo flippin legit! im scared to wear it...haha im only going to wear it to multi zone meetings, and when i come home...haha. speaking of funerals there are sooo many deaths here in pimentel, everyday i see about 4 or 5 different funerals. Angel and perla are doing good. I also cannot believe that i already have a year in the mission! so crazy! i found out that one of our investigators was the governor of Pimentel so that was kinda cool. This week has also been kinda rough, almost everyone failed, so it was a real trial on faith. we also bought hamburgers from the street and their burgers are a fried piece of ham 😑 so that sucked.. my life is treating me pretty great im here learning spanish and making other peoples lives better 😁.  Keep being strong, God loves you, The Lord loves you, and dont you ever forget that...I love you!

Great Investigators This Week!

It has been a pretty dang good week, we have a couple living together named Angel and Perla, and we put a marriage date with them for the 29 of this month! But they had to leave church early yesterday so we have to move their baptism date 😫 but they will get baptized without a doubt! we were also teaching a crazy catholic lady, and her husband came in and yelled at us and kicked us out of his house, which was kinda interesting... on sunday in elders quorm we were betting on pics of the temple 😝 so i ended up buying one with a pic of the Trujillo temple that says, "families are forever" (pic below) so that was kinda funny/fun to bet of things in church. and the food here is pretty good, but i really miss american food! the things i eat the most here are: rice, eggs, and chicken. and the peruvians cook with soooo much oil!!! so thats basically been my week. I love you!

2016 Fourth of July in Pimentel

its been  a pretty good week, last Monday i got to see Elder Marin, one of my favorite comps. i also played bbal against my mission pres. which was kinda terrifying. i also had a great lesson about joseph smith with a couple investigators, when i was done explaining the first vision, there was not a dry eye in the room, so powerful! then we had a meeting in a place called Monsefu. then we went to a super nice house of the 1st councilor of the stake and ate burritos super sweet! then he took us back in his stoner van..haha 🚬 the next day my comp and i went running by the beach, so that's basically been my week.. I love you! and have a amazing week and i will talk to ya next week!

First letter from new area, Pimentel, Peru

This week has been awesome! my new area is da bomb! my new comp Elder Hidalgo is also super cool he has 3 months in the mission, and we are already super good friends. the members here are always ready to come out with us. there is also a member here who looks and talks and acts like jack black...haha. this week i have also seen a lot of people from my old ward in Remigio Silva! A member named martin always buys us food every time we see him, hopefully i don't gain too much weight here . the beach is also way cool (pic below). and the breeze off the ocean is soo cold!!

It was so great to talk to you and dad, it was super hard to hang up the call! Thats cool Ryan and them came over for a min, they are great guys! and i love all the photos, (i didnt take any photos this week cause  i was at the other elders room and forgot my camera) 

You pretty much know what has happened this week, Elder Wallace got a change so ive been in a trio, but today everyone that had changes left the entire zone had changes, Romrell and Tonga are both gone. But i am super excited to get my new comp tomorrow Elder Rojas should be great! ill send you a picture of him next week. today we have a lesson with Miguel so we will see how that goes, his wife came to church yesterday...but he didnt  so i will ask him what happened, but they have all their papers ready to turn in to get married! So i am praying that they can get baptized the 21st!!!! and i was thinking about my package, could you send me another belt i just think it would be better to have 3, and can you send me some american body wash? that would be amazing! I love you guys and yes it was absolutley amazing to talk with you guys yesterday!

Busy Week in Jaen

This week has been another pretty good week. I did another interchange but this time i was with Elder Tonga which was fun (i forgot my camera) But him and i got to teach a lesson in english! there was a guy who lived in L.A. for 10 years so we taught him the restaruacion is english..so sweet! but that made me realize that i cant teach in english anymore..haha. Later in the week we have a part member family the 2 sons are members, but the parents are not. So we watched The Restauracion with the brothers and the mom, and the mom started to tear up durring some parts which was way cool, hopefully we can work good with her! And after they gave us some bread and cheese sandwhiches with anís (like a herbal tea).

On friday before we did weekly planing. i bought a water for 1.50 and i paid with a 10. so i should get 8.50 back right? well we have a crazy neighboor who is literally crazy. And somehow he thought that 8.50 was 6.50 so i fought with him (nicely of course) until he finally realized.haha. That same day we were eating lunch and we found a GIANT rat in our penions house, so i picked up a wooden stick and killed it (pic below) so that made lunch rather interesting. also that same day, i did another interchange but with a latino named Elder Aguliar. which went actually pretty good, but for dinner his penion isnt that good, so all she gave us is cake...thats right our whole dinner was cake....wow. Saturday morning we woke up and there was a riot going on something about water and the electricity, but it was kinda scary the police had some heavy firepower (Ak-47, granade launchers, etc.) and they had riot sheilds too...scary. And saturday afternoon we helped with a service project and sanded walls of a house for a member. 

Then we had a awesome lesson with Miguel! We watched Together Forever and they accepted to get married the 6th of may and baptized the 7th ! we were soo excited. Then we talked with a laywer who is in our ward and he said they have to wait 15 days until they can get married  so they wont get baptized this weekend :/ and changes are the 10th of May so most likeley one of us wont be here to see them get baptized which is sad, but its awesome they are still goin to get baptized! And to finish off the week saturday night we were heading back to plan, and there were people right outside our room, blasting music and getting hammered drunk. And my comp cant really sleep that well when theres noise. So he started having a panic attack cause he was afraid that he wasnt going to get any sleep, so we went and slept over at the room of the zone leaders. So that was my week, I love you guys!!! and talk to you guys sunday!!!!!!!!
